Jack Kohn

Jack Kohn is the founder and President of the Baseball Replay Association. He has served as President for each of the Leagues 42 years. The BRA is believed to be the longest continually run simulation baseball league anywhere.
​
As well as being the founder and President, Jack has also been a manager in the league for all 42 years of the BRA's existence, managing the Giants in 1978 and 1979, the White Sox from 1980 to 1986 and again from 1990 through 2008. Jack also managed the Mets from 1987 to 1989 and has been at the helm of the Oakland A's since 2009. He celebrated a BRA Championship with the A's in 2009.

Jack graduated in 1959 from AFROTC at San Jose State with a BA in Social Science/Journalism.

Jack served as a Master Navigator in the United States Air Force from 1960 through 1982, including a tour in Vietnam. He retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel after amassing over 4,900 flying hours. Jack received seven Air Medals as well as two Air Force Commendation medals for his service.

Upon retirement from the Air Force Jack began a second career as the Publisher of The Folsom Telegraph News from 1982 to 1992. The newsroom served as a home to many BRA drafts and other BRA business over the years.
After leaving the newspaper business Jack joined his long time friend Don Becker as they turned their lifelong passion and hobby into a business when they opened the Golden Era Baseball Card store from 1992 to 2002.
Jack and his lovely wife Patti (Giants Manager) make their home in Rohnert Park, California. They raised three children in son Mike and daughters Barb and Pam and have two granddaughters.
