Steve Solmonson - Mariners and Nationals 

Age: 66

Employer: Minnesota Twins - guest services team lead (2024 will be my 10th season)

Retired: Air Force public affairs officer and hospice / hospital chaplain. Spent most of my career in communications, marketing and public relations. 

Hobbies: Collecting baseball memorabilia (since 1966), photography, biking and volunteering

Spouse: Diane (40 years)

Children: Lauren and Kyle 

Pets: Lou (dog - named after Lou Gehrig) and Smalls (cat) - named after The Sandlot). Most of our animals over the years have had baseball names (dogs - Kirby, Bagwell and Fenway)

Ed (Reeder) Herrick - Orioles

Age: 77 

Favorite team: NY Yankees

Retired: USAF pilot. Active: Moravian pastor

Hobbies: Baseball, hunting, camping, hiking, reading, writing

Married: Barb

Three children, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren

Matthew Schultz - Rays

Employer: AICPA as a Senior Psychometrician - based in Ewing NJ, though I work mainly from my home in PA.  I also do some consulting. I'm a couple years from retirement.

Hobbies: I collect baseball cards (mainly Red Sox, some Phillies, 30's through 70's), read, walk, bike and hike. I'm a retired runner due to ongoing Achilles issues but had a good 35+ year go at it.

Spouse: Caroline, we've been married 7 years

Children: Olivia, stepdaughters Jillian and Annelise

Pets: Theo (4 yr old rescue dog, some pitbull, some boxer, some bird dog), four cats (two were mine, siblings Bernie and Ellie - they're 16 - two were Carolines, siblings Catticus and Cinnamon)

Mike Bruce - Dodgers

Employer: Retired --Worked 20 years as DC Production Management @ Raley's Grocery Stores

Prior to that worked 23 years Montgomery Wards first in production then as DC Management.

Hobbies: Everything related baseball since 1963. Lifelong fan of Alabama Football. Cowboys NFL, Dodgers & Yankees. I still have a huge collection of 1950's and 60's baseball & football card sets. '53 Bowman is favored set

Spouse: Suzan (married 42 wonderful years) 

Children: Meaghan 38, Laura and Kaitlin both 35 (Twins)

Pets: Grew up on a ranch with horses, cats, dogs, chickens, mule but no pets now. Favorite dog breeds are Corgi & a German Sheperd named Beau Brummell. My favorite cat was named Rocco Dominico Colavito Jr.

Michael Githens - Reds and Twins

Age: 56
Employer: Wish I had one, laid off in June. Been in networking
technology for over 20 years, software before that
Spouse: Jaqui 10 yrs (round 2)
Children: Katie 28 BSN (nurse)
Pets: Tala (tagalog meaning bright star) Rhodesian Ridgeback (dog) 4
months old.  Had both dogs and cats in the past.
Sports teams: Reds (local then) & Eagles (first peewee team) lifelong,
UC (Cincinnati) alma mater, 76'ers and Flyers (because SW OH had no
NBA or NHL). Baseball card collector mainly when in middle and high
school. They're still in the boxes somewhere.
Pastimes or hobbies: Made beer in the past, got into wine when in CA,
now into Bourbon and Scotch in TX. Always interesting people to meet
in these groups. Used to play some rec league sports, but blew a disc
during indoor volleyball and broke an ankle in softball, so retired
from those.

Steve Klein - Marlins

Age: 74 (27187 days as this is written)

Employer: Retired since 2007 after 36 years as an electronics engineer. Last job was with Powerwave, a company which made amplifiers for cell phone base stations.

Hobbies: Games! I'm in two baseball simulation leagues, play bridge up to six times a week, and have so many old computer games that I haven't played yet, I literally don't expect to live long enough to get to them all.

Spouses: Jane (1972-87), Sally (1992-2016), Phonsathit (2017-present). Those of you who were at the BRAft at the Telegraph in 1991 met Sally.

Children: None of my own, but I was stepfather to Sally's son Nick from age 5, and I have more of a father-daughter relationship with Phon's daughter Janice than her actual father does.

Pet: Blue, a cat so named because he looks like an oversized Russian Blue.

Bill Meyer - Mets

Age: 74 (next June)

Employer: Retired -- Caught in the Vietnam era draft, entered the Air Force as a B-52 Navigator, after 4,000 hours and 20 years in the plane, entered Law School while working summers at Old Fort Niagara, admitted to the Bar in New York, left Law at age 63, currently working retirement jobs as a substitute teacher and Erie Canal guide (That is difference between retiring as a Major at 20 years or making the next rank and staying a few more years in the Aie Force!).

Spouse: Carolyn (married my college sweetheart 52 years ago) and had the opportunity to work with her at the Old Fort, where we wrote and starred in Murder Mysteries, which was truly a Hoot!

Kids: Michelle and Katie 47 (Twins), and our baby? Jenny 45.  One Grandchild, Beatrix 9 going on 16.

Pets: Owned horses in California and here in NY, but have always had dogs, currently a rescue named Calvin.

Age: 62

Hobbies: DMB and golf
